Based on Hab 3:17-19

Even though the bushes are barren of flowers
And trees of fruit
Even though there is no results with all the effort put into work
And whatever I do fails
Even though what I have achieved has been taken away
And I have nothing to show
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord
I will take joy in the God of my salvation
God, the Lord is my strength
He makes me walk and jump in ease
He restores me to His hills of rejoicing

  1. Again, Meaghan, the world is small. This is one of the scriptures our ladies studied last night in discussing rejoicing in the Lord.

I love your words. It seems so much easier to rejoice when everything is going my way. But I rejoice nonetheless because He gives me the strength to do so. He is my Salvation.

  2. It is during hard times that I must remind myself of Paul in prison writing the Epistle to the Philippians. Also Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, before they were thrown into the fire:-

Dan 3:17 If the God whom we serve is able to save us from the blazing furnace and from your power, then he will.
Dan 3:18 But even if he doesn't, Your Majesty may be sure that we will not worship your god, and we will not bow down to the gold statue that you have set up."

Context may be different but I always remember their words - the Lord will deliver but even if he doesn't, we will still honour and obey Him. Such powerful words to emulate.
