Back-to-back meetings do not work

I had a serious string of back-to-back meetings this afternoon: from 2:00 to 4:00 with a vendor, 4:00 to 5:30 with a working committee, and 5:30 to 6:30 with my boss and HR team. 

I don’t think I have had such an arrangement before and I can conclude now that it doesn’t work. 

I was running from one room to the other without any time to reflect or collect my thoughts. 

And more than that, I had to stop the first and second meeting prematurely to attend the next one, after which by the end of the day, I was so terribly tired. 

I will not do this again.
