Let me pray for you

Psalm 125
A Song of Ascents.

1 Those who trust in the LORD
Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So the LORD surrounds His people
From this time forth and forever.
3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous,
So that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong.
4 Do good, O LORD, to those who are good
And to those who are upright in their hearts.
5 But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways,
The LORD will lead them away with the doers of iniquity.
Peace be upon Israel.

I shared this psalm with my fellow workers in our weekly prayer meeting today and said that in times when I worry, this is one of the treasures in the Word that comforts me in the Lord. One of them quipped, "You worry? I thought I was the only one!"

This brings me to realise how often we forget that we are not the only ones with the problems. There is this Chinese saying that literally goes: "you see me good, I see you good", but in reality, there is much turmoil in all of us.

Let us then faithfully pray for one another, as we travail in this tumultuous life together in the love, joy, peace and hope of the Lord.

And if you need me to pray for you more specifically, just pop me an email.
