Am I in deep, deep trouble?

We have moved to our new office neighbouring the One Utama Shopping Centre. I am somewhat glad that I am on a 6-months-book-fast right now. I am feeling quite drained at the moment, having to handle the demands, incompetency and unfairness of people around me. So much so that, I would have gone browsing for books.

I did a search for all the bookstores within my reach.

MPH – the MPH outlet in One Utama has the best theology section of all MPH outlets I have been, not spectacular but good enough for a normal bookstore. (1st & 2nd Floor, Highstreet)

Gladsounds? I did not know there is a Gladsounds in 1U! (2nd Floor, Highstreet)

Popular – ah, I didn’t know there is a Popular outlet here too. The only place, other than Canaanland, I can get a 10% discount on all books, but not many titles though. (2nd Floor, Courtyard)

PayLess Books – I haven’t been to this one in 1U. But no point going now since I can’t buy any. (2nd Floor, Highstreet)

And what more, Canaanland is so, so very, very near to me now.

I think when my book-fasting period is over, I will be in deep, deep, deep, deep trouble.

By the way, I am quite inclined to break the fast way before time, for Gerald Wilson’s The Editing of the Hebrew Psalter (Dissertation series / Society of Biblical Literature) that I need for my Psalm assignment. How now, brown cow?

I am going to go for lunch now and a short walk to release some stress. I wonder how strong my willpower can be to fend off the temptation at this low point of my day?

When I do a like a 'book-fasting', I end up listening to audio teaching...
