Labuan: Day Two
Suffice for me to state that I have been a workaholic here in Labuan. Simply because there is nothing else to do and also because there is a lot of work to do.
The hours here are difficult to adjust to. Back home, when I wake up at 6am, it is still very dark. Dawn won't happen till around 7. (Malaysia had practised a permanent daylight savings on January 1, 1982, where time is adjusted 1/2 an hour forward.) But here in Labuan, the sun is brightly shining at 6! Don't ask me when is dawn. But dusk happens at about 6.30pm whereas in KL, it would be 7.30pm.
There is nothing much to write about, you can see but this afternoon during lunch, I'd see if I can pop out for a hairwash!

Oh Pearlie, You are so funny without your books. You and your hairwashes. I had to get one today when I got my hair cut and I hated every minute of it. Enjoy those sunrises!!
ReplyDeleteHaha ... thanks for a good laugh. And yes I did go for the hairwash and loved every minute of it. I am really getting bored here. I think when I get back I am going to get one or a few of my friends and go out for some socialising.
ReplyDeleteYou hate the hairwash? Oh dear, what did they do to you??
Oh, she just washed my hair, but I hate for anyone to touch my head - I have too many scars which you can't even see under my hair.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to do socializing?
I don't know -- maybe lunch or dinner with friends this weekend.
